..where at that time the King was expected to wave at his 'subjects'. A few months later he will have been dispossessed. During the attendance men, women, tourists and press were placed on stairs of separate temples around the main square.. The picture obviously shows the women's temple.

The Bodnath temple in Kathmandu. One of the rather important Buddhist temples in Nepal. It is located in the northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu and is a major pilgrimage destination for Buddhists.
The massive stupa mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal.
The Pashupatinath temple complex. The podests on the right banks of the river are used for cremation. Afterwards the ashes are given to the river.
